William Sisters going to 9ja

Venus and Serena Williams have confirmed they are ready to storm Nigeria on November 10, where they are expected to play an exhibition match as well as conduct a coaching clinic for the Nigerian youth.

This is the first time the sisters will be playing in Africa. "Touching 1000 Lives at a Time" is the name of the project aimed at inspiring youth and teaching them winning values. The duo's presence in Nigeria may be a plus to the image of the country, which only recently was upped by the participation of Manchester United and Portsmouth at an invitational soccer tournament held in Abuja.

Serena has said many times that she was looking forward to a visit to Africa. "It would be fabulous to go there and meet young kids," she said recently. Serena's career is once again looking up after she won the US Open without much fuss. The younger sister sizzled throughout the tournament culminating with a superb final show against Serbia's Jelena Jankovic.
